Short Week

Spelling Test
This week is too short to complete a Spelling lesson, so there will not be a test on Friday.
Service Anyone?
I was thrilled to have one of my students out at the Children Center this past Sunday. We wheelbarrowed blocks of wood from the basement out to the parking lot. What a great way to build our muscles and have fun working together. It also gives me hope when I hear parents say that they want to instill in their children a sense of mission. Yes!!!
A student in the high school Sabbath School class at church this past Sabbath insightfully said that God probably wants us to not be self-centered. She got that right. Both adults and kids can pray for the Holy Spirit to remove our selfishness and give us a passion for caring for others. Let's make an impact in our community.

Parent-Teacher Conference
I look forward to meeting with you next week for the conferences. Please share with me any area of concerns that you might have as well as insights to how things are going at home in regards to reading and practicing the basic Math facts.
